Bounce and blossom, tea bonbons are fun to drink!

Tea Plays Tea Bonbon Fun

Tea Plays wants to deliver quality and real tea tradition, tied together with a sense of playfulness... behold the "flowering" bonbon!

Remember walking into a candy store as a kid and feeling your heart jump as you scanned through shelves of brightly colored sweets of every imaginable kind? That's how some of us feel stepping into a well-stocked tea store as adults! In a lot of matters connected to tea though, the imagination and tradition of tea makers have been buried under a layer of dust, stopping younger folk in China and beyond from getting into a wonderful product, something with the health benefits, variety and mystique to deserve being called Adult Candy...
Along with the flavor combinations and the organic methods used by Tea Plays producers, our bonbons reference a wonderful and ancient creation unique to Chinese tea culture: the tea "flower". The design of this diverting little number is simple: leaves are bound around a dried flower and the bundle is loosely tied, so when the whole thing is dropped into a cup of hot water it gradually opens up, revealing the saturated bloom within as it bobs and sinks into the depths.

Our bonbons are not tied together, as we want them to circulate freely once re-hydrated, but their flowers and leaves will certainly "bloom" if you stir them naked into water. All around the world spring is a time to appreciate the sight of things blossoming – matching nature with a cup of blossoming tea is one great way to celebrate the sights and smells around you.
